ESL and IEM will host the IEM: Global Challenge 2020. 8 teams will compete for a total prize pool of $500,000.
The winners of the following tournaments will be able to participate in this tournament: IEM: New York Online 2020 (North America), DreamHack Open: Fall Online 2020 (Europe) and IEM: Beijing Online 2020 (North America and Europe).
Prize fund distribution:
1st place: $200,000
2nd place: $100,000
3-4th place: $50,000 each
5-6 place: $30,000 each
7th-8th place: $20,000 each
In addition to these four future teams, they will be joined by the top 2 teams from Europe and one from the CIS and North America according to the ESL rating.
IEM: Global Challenge 2020 will take place from December 15 to 20. This tournament may become the first LAN event after the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
