Valve has announced new dates and the location of the International 10
Tonight, Dota 2 developers have announced that they found a new venue for The International 10 - the anniversary championship will take place in the Romanian capital, Bucharest. The event will be held at the country's largest stadium - Arena Națională, which can sit 54 thousand spectators.
Valve has also announced that they decided to postpone the tournament for a couple of months: TI10 will take place from October 7 to 17. The group stage will take place from October 7 to 10, and the main stage of the championship will be held from October 12 to 17. The prize fund of the event will be $ 40.018.195. Additional information on tickets for spectators is not available yet.
“We are grateful to Romania and Bucharest for their partnership, and we are looking forward to the global gathering of the Dota 2 community - both in-person and virtual - to pay tribute to elite players and awesome fans at The International. Get ready. The battle finally begins”.
We should remind that last month Valve officially announced that The International 10 would not take place in Stockholm, as it was originally planned. Due to the fact that the Swedish authorities refused to recognize the championship as a professional sports competition, players, talents and other participants of the event would not have been able to get Swedish visas under the restrictions associated with the coronavirus.
