Tournament operator Flashpoint, which is hosting the RMR Championship among European teams, has decided to replay the match between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Anonymo. This was announced 20 minutes before the start of the NiP and HYENAS games in the lower bracket of Flashpoint Season 3.
Chronologically, NiP and Anonymo played against each other on May 14, the Polish team won with a score of 2:1 on maps. After that, dev1ce and sports director Ninjas in Pajamas complained about a bad server and that they were losing about 20% pocket loss. The teams were ready to play on another server, but the organizers ignored them. Anonymo won the Mirage with a score of 19:17 and advanced to the next round.
Snax: "Can we replay ELEAGUE Major 2017? The crowd sounds were too loud"
Following the announcement of the replays, Anonymo made an official statement, noting that they are under pressure from Ninjas in Pyjamas and Flashpoint. The Polish team knew about NiP's problems and offered a lot of solutions to such a situation, for example, postponing the match, but Ninjas in Pyjamas refused. Anonymo believes the May 14 match against NiP is fair and should not be replayed.
Flashpoint was nevertheless assigned a replay between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Anonymo, explaining that NiP provided all the evidence of server problems and packet loss in this match. The date of the fight has not yet been announced, but the Flashpoint administration made some very critical mistakes. It would be worth stopping the match during the first complaints about the loss of pockets, and still change the server.
It's a shame for Anonymo, but perhaps they will be able to defeat Ninjas in Pyjamas for the second time and consolidate their superiority over this team. For Flashpoint, this is a great and precious experience.
