The final of a large-scale match fixing scandal in China

At the end of February this year, Bo, a member of the FunPlus Phoenix team, voluntarily confessed that he took part in fake matches in the LDL. The disciplinary commission removed him from matches and began its own investigation.

The LoL Development League is China's second league with a lot of competition for entry into the LPL and public recognition. Of course, there have already been cases when players were caught on match-fixing, bets against themselves, but few thought that the situation was so serious.

Following an independent investigation of all LPL and LDL players in active collaboration with Bo, Teeen and bless, the LPL Disciplinary Commission has published a list of 37 people. These include former coaches, players and team managers. The length of bans on this list range from 3 months to a lifetime ban from participating in the League of Legends competitive scene.

3 players who collaborated with the investigation were also punished:

  • Bo - banned for 4 months for 1 case of violation in LDL
  • Teeen - banned for 4 months for 1 case of violation in LDL
  • bless - banned for 1 year for 2 cases of violation in LPL and 1 case of violation in LDL
