The second Major in the current Dota Pro Circuit season, DreamLeague Season 13 in Leipzig, has come to an end, with Team Secret conquering the championship title. They earned a $300,000 cheque and 4850 DPC points.
Secret started their performance in Group B, where they defeated ViCi Gaming and beastcoast, and, as a result, proceeded to the upper bracket in the Playoffs. There, seven other teams also made their appearance: Nigma, EG, Invictus, ViCi, FNATIC, NAVI, and Alliance.
In the next match, the lineup led by Clement "Puppey" Ivanov beat FNATIC, 2-1, but in the following series they did not lose a map, winning over Alliance and ViCi Gaming with a 2-0 score on both occasions. Eventually, Team Secret were the first participant to qualify for the grand-finals, where they were later joined by EG, who delivered the best level of play in the lower bracket.
The final game lasted all five maps. Evil Geniuses were in the lead at 2-1, but then Secret seized the initiative and prevailed in the last two games, 3-2, paving the way to the Major trophy.

Due to winning The Leipzig Major, Secret climbed to the third place in the Dota Pro Circuit ranking. As the Europeans didn’t participate in MDL Chengdu Major, they earned points only for their showing in Germany (4850). The second place in the DPC leaderboard is occupied by ViCi Gaming (5100), while the #1 spot is still held by TNC Predator (5300), who won the previous Major.
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 will be the next Valve-supported Major in Dota 2, and it is scheduled for March 15-22. Before that, the StarLadder Minor in Kiev will be taking place, from 3 to 8 March.
