Schedule and results of DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019

The last DreamHack Open tournament in 2019 will be running from 13 to 15 December, taking place in the conference centre of FIBES, located in Sevilla, Spain. There, eight teams will go on to compete for $100,000 of prize money.

Six lineups were invited to take part in the championship: CR4ZY, Gambit Youngsters, GODSENT, Illuminar Gaming, North, and MAD Lions E.C. CR4ZY boast the highest HLTV rating among the participants, as they are occupying the 18th spot in the list of world’s best CSGO squads.

The last two spots were allocated to the rosters from Europe and Iberia. In the European qualifier, the first place was seized by BIG, who beat the Swedes of GamerLegion in the final. The Iberian qualifier ended with Movistar Riders coming out on top. On the way to grabbing a ticket to their home event, they won over four different opponents: Galatics, ex-MAD Lions, Cream Esports, and OFFSET.

Format

The event in Spain will kick off with a GSL group stage. Openings and winners series will be played in the Best of 1 format, but after that the organizers plan to use Best of 3. Following the results of the tournament’s first part, four best teams advance to the Playoffs, where they are set to compete in the bracket of Single Elimination Bo3.

The Russian squad of forZe won the previous tournament of the circuit, conquering the title of DreamHack Open Winter 2019. There, in the grand-final, the Russians took down the Danes of ex-Tricked Esport. Their most valuable player at the end of the event was Almaz "almazer" Asadullin, who averaged 1.20 KDR in 12 maps.
