"Salute to the Champions!" - Week at Summoner's Rift

America, Europe and Korea have revealed the winners of the spring split, but we will not be left without a competitive scene, since the European Masters starts on Wednesday. More details about all the news over the past week, as always, below.

LoL Pro League

In China, the outcome of the tournament is just ahead: FunPlus Phoenix made it to the grand final, beating EDward Gaming on 5 maps. Also, a full-fledged BO5 was needed by Royal Never Give Up and Top Esports. In a dramatic match, RNG were able to leave the naked nexus, but finished the game in their favor with only 3 attempts, competently pulling TES onto the reborn Elder Dragon. EDG and RNG will compete for a place in the grand final tomorrow.

Watch the final LPL match on the April 18 event page at 11:00 CET.

LoL European Championship

For the first time in six and a half years, it was not G2 or Fnatic that became the Kings of Europe. The Samurais lost to Rogue in the final of the lower bracket and finished only in third place.

In a dramatic final, MAD Lions won, having played over 7,000 gold lags on the last map. Interestingly, for all 10 players this was the first performance in the decisive match of the tier-1 event.

In America, an unexpectedly tense final turned out: many people were sure that Cloud9 would be able to outplay any opponent 3-0, but Team Liquid had a decent fight, defeating TSM before that.

Based on the results of 5 maps, C9 came out as the winners and they are the ones who go to MSI from North America and earn $100,000.
