Renegades were one of the four squads that took part in the qualification by receiving a direct invite. They started off their showing in the match against Airborne E.C, prevailing over them with a 2-0 score. The next opponents of RNG, Paradox Gaming and ORDER, also did not win a single map, which led them to 0-2 losses.

As a result, the lineup led by Chris "dexter" Nong came out on top in the upper bracket, so they grabbed a spot in the grand-final while securing a one-map advantage for the last series. There, they faced off against ex-Genuine Gaming.

The match kicked off with a Train victory for the former Genuine roster, 16-14. The score was tied, 1-1, but then RNG took down their rival on Dust2 and Inferno, 16-12 on both occasions. Joshua "INS" Potter was the most valuable player of this clash, as he left the server with a 1.54 KDR (79-49 K-D) and a 103.4 ADR.
