The first place in Group A was seized by the Danes of Astralis. On the way to the semifinals, they defeated ViCi Gaming and 100 Thieves without dropping a map. The second spot was conquered by the Australian team 100T, who managed to take down ENCE Esports twice, 2-0. Consequently, ENCE and ViCi were eliminated from the event.
The strongest squad in Group B was Team Vitality. The French lineup started off with a crushing victory over TYLOO, and later they prevailed over FaZe Clan. The last ticket to the next phase of the tournament was earned by FaZe, who overpowered the #1 roster in the world, Evil Geniuses. As a result, TYLOO and EG left the competition.
Matches of the Playoff stage are scheduled for November 9-10. The final match will run in Best of 5 format, with the winner securing a paycheck of $125,000 and a spot at IEM Katowice 2020.
