For mousesports, the tournament began with a match against the new Virtus.pro lineup. In order to beat the Kazakhstani squad, mouz needed all three maps of the series. On the first map, Inferno, they were defeated 11-16, but then they responded with a win on Mirage with the same score. After all, it came down to Dust2, where the Europeans managed to overcome VP in the second OT — 22-19.

The best result in this Best of 3 was shown by David "frozen" Čerňanský, as the Slovakian player scored a 1.20 rating (71-53 K-D). It’s worth noting that more than half of his kills were made on Dust2 (39-23 K-D).

Later on, mousesports faced off against Evil Geniuses, who were playing with a standin as Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte was temporarily replaced by Igor "crush" Shevchenko. Earlier in the tournament, EG won over the Russian five of forZe with a 2-0 result.

This time, the lineup led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen got a convincing victory, 2-0, losing 15 rounds in total: 16-11 Train, 16-4 Inferno. Once again, frozen was the most valuable player of the series. In this match, he averaged a 1.57 rating (47-22 K-D, 94.6 ADR).

Five highest-rated players after Day Two of EPICENTER 2019:

  • #1 | Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut (Vitality) — 1.64

  • #4 | Cvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov (Evil Geniuses) — 1.23
  • #5 | Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov (NAVI) — 1.18

As a result, mousesports proceeded to the semifinals of EPICENTER 2019, to which Team Vitality had qualified for day before. Evil Geniuses earned a spot in the quarterfinals, and in their next match, which is the decider of Group B, they will fight for a higher seed in the Playoffs. There, they are set to play against the winner of the elimination game, in which Virtus.pro will took on forZe. Thus, tomorrow one of the CIS representatives will be eliminated from the tournament on the last 7-8th place.
